Egyptian international midfielder Tarek Hamed has completed his move to Damac FC from Ittihad Jeddah, the Saudi side announced on Monday.
Damac FC shared a promotional video of Hamed with the caption "History Has Come," but did not disclose the length of the contract.
Local media reported that the 35-year-old midfielder signed a two-season deal after negotiations initially stalled due to contract length disagreements.
Hamed, who joined Ittihad Jeddah in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer from Egyptian Zamalek, fell out of favour with coach Nuno Santo following the signings of prolific midfielders Fabinho and N'Golo Kante this summer.
Hamed played a vital role in Ittihad Jeddah's triumphant campaign last season, which saw the club secure the Saudi League title for the first time since 2009, as well as the Saudi Super Cup.
Currently, Damac FC finds themselves in third from bottom position after five weeks of play, accumulating three points, and trailing league leaders Al-Hilal by ten points.
The midfielder has been included in the Pharaohs squad by coach Rui Vitoria for Egypt's upcoming matches against Ethiopia and Tunisia.
Hamed has scored only one goal in 54 appearances for the national team so far.
